What’s a typical day like at an NYN Summer Camp?

stretchcamp10

Morning Session (9:30 – 11:30) consists of a daily “ready up” routine geared to get each player ready for the day at hand. Next an intense baseball and softball fundamental, mechanical and mental work out. We will be going over the basics while challenging each player to get better. Each day will have new drills covering all aspects of game ranging from base running, hitting, fielding, pitching etc.

Lunch (11:30am – 12:15 PM). This gives each player the much needed time to relax after a challenging work out in the morning. Other than re-energizing, this is the perfect time for the players to interact with one another and coaches challenge the players with baseball and softball  I.Q. and trivia questions.

Afternoon Session  (12:15 – 2:00) Contests, Games, Scrimmages and Simulated Games geared towards learning.  Whether it’s individual contests such as: Home Run Derby or Gold Glove, or Team Based Contests such as: Simulated Games, Scrimmages. Our afternoon activities are designed to incorporate the instruction from the morning with competition.  Allowing players to practice what they’ve learned while having  some fun and learning from the situations that arise from competitive game play.
